Green
Chemistry uses modern science to reduce or eliminate hazardous
materials from the development and application of chemical products. It
affects the air we breathe, the water we drink, and even the food we
eat. With the understanding that today’s children will be the future
benefactors and supporters of Green Chemistry,
create an activity book designed to teach the story of
Green Chemistry to middle school age
students. The activity book should tell the story of
Green Chemistry and investigate two
environmental issues. In addition to the required text the activity book
should include 10 different activities with at least two being
laboratory activities investigating the two environmental issues you
chose to
include in the book. The Green Chemistry activity book will be written by a team of four students and presented
to a middle school teacher for her appraisal. Each team member’s evaluation of
the other team member’s contribution to the project and a middle school
science teacher’s appraisal of the Activity Book must accompany your
project. |
