Gasoline:  This individual challenge question, has to do with petroleum and the refining of petroleum for making gasoline.       15 earned points

2nd Six Weeks Extra Credit Projects Due 11-12

The Great PVC Controversy Web Quest:   A group not to exceed three students may do this investigation for extra credit.      20 earned points

James Bond Challenge:  An individual problem.  Show all work clearly.      15 earned points

Achievers:  The "Achievers" extra credit project is a group projected not to exceed three students.       25 earned points

Antifoulants:  An individual investigation about the story of how Green Chemistry tackled the problem of marine antifoulants.        20 earned points

3rd Six Weeks Extra Credit Project Due 1-11

The Great MTBE Debate Web Quest:  A group with no more than three students may complete this investigation for extra credit.       20 earned points

Identify an Unknown:  An individual challenge to design a scheme to identify a unknown salt.       15 earned points

Terrorist:  An individual challenge problem evaluating a terrorists threat.      20 earned points

4th Six Weeks Extra Credit Project Due 2-21

Chemicals That Won't Go Away:  A group investigation and presentation concerning the environmental impact of PCBs.       25 earned points.

5th Six Weeks Extra Credit Project Due 3-27

Nuclear Study:  Nuclear quest will be an individual study.      Test grade

Electrochemistry Puzzle:  An individual challenge.  Show all work clearly.       15 earned points

Over the Counter Pain Relievers:  An individual problem.  Show all work clearly.   15 earned points

Spectroscopy:  An individual investigation.        15 earned points
